Thank you for your interest in The Poser Loose Mineral line. We believe we created it with careful thought as to what didn´t go into the product as well as which ingredients would. Our oxides are cosmetic safe, and created in labs for purity´s sake.
Ingredients Used in Our Loose Mineral Make Up
Base Make Up-Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Red, Yellow, Blue, and Black Oxides. Some may contain Mica.
Blushers- Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Red, Yellow, Blue, and Black Oxides. Most will contain Mica. Some may contain Mother of Pearl Powder.
Eye Shadows- Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Red, Yellow, Blue, and Black Oxides. Most will contain Mica. Some may contain Mother of Pearl Powder.
INGREDIENTS NOT USED IN OUR LOOSE MINERAL MAKEUP
Bismuth Oxychloride –believed to possibly be a skin irritant. An antiseptic. A salt derived from the mineral bismuth that imparts a slight sheen.
Ferric Ferro cyanide-a controversial and possibly toxic substance.
A number of industrial, consumer, and medicinal uses have been developed for FFC, including as a pigment in printing inks, paints, paper dye, cosmetics, and as an anti-caking agent in road salt. More recently, the Federal Government has announced FFC as a recommended treatment for radiation exposure and metal poisoning. The beneficial use of compounds and their classification as toxic pollutants are not contradictory. EPA recognizes that even compounds with beneficial uses can have toxic effects under certain environmental conditions.” -U.S. EPA April, 2003.
Carmine- Natural red color that comes from the dried female cochineal beetle. It is sometimes used to color lip gloss, lipsticks, and other cosmetics. Need we say more?
Preservatives- Because it´s in a powder form, no preservatives are needed Mineral Make up, with proper care, should stay fresh up to 4 months. Keep the lid on when not in use, and clean your brushes/sponges regularly.
